Ever since I was a little girl I wanted to take away the sufferings of people and animals I encountered. I knew at an early age that I was different from the other kids. Feeling different didn’t really bother me until I couldn’t find a social group where I felt like I fit in. I drank a lot of alcohol to numb out and make socializing easier. You can guess how that went.

I had several more barriers however I persevered and obtained a bachelor’s degree in psychology and a masters degree in social work. After some time and deliberation, I obtained Post Master training in Child and Adolescent Psychotherapy from The New York School for Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy and Psychoanalysis.

My professional resume is long which I believe prepared me for the work ahead of me. I worked in two types of groups homes, one for adolescent boys and one for mentally ill adults. I worked as a caseworker in foster care and a supervisor in preventative services. This was followed by working as a clinician and family specialist with juvenile sex offenders in a residential treatment center. It was here that I had my first glimmer of understanding that I was to work with the darkness in people. After leaving that job I worked in an outpatient clinic and eventually to my own private practice which is in Massapequa NY.

After some time I began to notice how traditional psychotherapy was limiting to some of my patients and then I had my first child patient who saw earthbound spirits (souls who haven’t crossed over). Even though I did not have much knowledge in this area, mainstream treatment did not even acknowledge it existed except from a culturally competent standpoint. I was certain he was not schizophrenic. In addition to those barriers I had a personal conflict as I was raised catholic. I prayed and meditated on my predicament. I followed the guidance by listening to my heart and my connection to God.

Fast forward a few years I found myself drawn to Reiki (hands on energy healing) and then Shamanism (soul healing). After many years of receiving reiki and shamanic healings and teachings I am able to help people in any of the following areas: emotionally, psychologically, energetically and spiritually. I was also reminded through soul healings that I came into this world with the Christ Light, the Healer so I can be the Light for others on their path to see out of their darkness.

This journey has brought me to a place of full integration within myself so I may now do the same for others. It is with great honor and integrity that I stay in the truth of who I am.
